Женский чемпионат Европы по баскетболу может пройти в Беларуси в 2015 году. Об этом сегодня сообщил председатель Белорусской федерации баскетбола Виктор Каменков на встрече с генеральным секретарем европейского отделения Международной федерации баскетбола (ФИБА-Европа) Наром Занолином.

«Во время визита Нара Занолина в Минск мы обсуждали вероятность проведения крупных баскетбольных международных турниров в Беларуси, в том числе и чемпионата Европы 2015 года. Впрочем, пока это лишь планы, для осуществления которых необходимо выполнение многих условий. Нужно наличие не только современных арен, но и специалистов со знанием иностранных языков, тренеров, судей, баскетболисток высокого уровня. Вообще же хочу подчеркнуть, что визит генерального секретаря ФИБА-Европа в Минск не случаен. Он готов приезжать к нам и помогать столько, сколько нужно, если будет видеть, что в стране предпринимаются действенные шаги по развитию баскетбола», – сказал Виктор Каменков, передает БЕЛТА.

Одной из важных мер по развитию баскетбола Нар Занолин считает строительство небольших залов с трибунами на 200-300 человек, которые должны появляться в том числе и в поселках и маленьких городах, чтобы как можно больше людей приобщалось к баскетболу. «Ваша женская сборная в последние годы добилась замечательных успехов на международной арене. Из бесед с руководителями белорусской баскетбольной федерации и Министерства спорта и туризма я понял, что вы хотите как минимум удержать эти позиции. А возможно, Беларусь когда-нибудь выиграет чемпионат Европы. Во время моего визита мы обсудили много вопросов, касающихся развития баскетбола в вашей стране. Это и подготовка судей, и обучение тренеров, и строительство залов, и популяризация игры. Есть немало идей, их надо реализовывать, и в этом мы надеемся на поддержку всех заинтересованных сторон, в том числе и вашего государства», – отметил Нар Занолин.

Строительство и обслуживание таких объектов довольно дорого стоит. Сейчас возводится немало многофункциональных стадионов, которые должны использоваться максимально широко, чтобы окупать затраты на содержание. Взять ту же «Минск-Арену», которую в течение нескольких часов можно перепрофилировать в баскетбольную площадку. Для людей же нужнее большое количество малых залов.
